American Idol is one of the most popular singing competition television shows in American Television. Created by Simon Fuller, American Idol began airing on Fox for 14 long years from 2002 until 2016. Throughout its history, the show has been able to produce some of the industry’s biggest talents, such as Kelly Clarkson, Jordin Sparks, Carrie Underwood, Kris Allen, David Cook, and many more!

The show began airing again on ABC in March of 2018 as part of the network’s attempt to bring it back. Lionel Richie, Katy Perry, and Luke Bryan take on the role of the show’s new judges. Fans of the revival, and the franchise in general, would be pleased to know that ABC is renewing the show for another season. It’ll premiere in the Winter of 2022, and ABC surely deserves a ton of credit for giving the show’s fans what they want.
